British Airways 2026 summer schedule

As travellers begin to dream of their summer 2026 holidays, British Airways has unveiled a major expansion of its long-haul schedule from London Gatwick and Heathrow. The airline is adding new flights and boosting capacity on some of its most sought-after routes, promising more flexibility, more seats, and more opportunities for holidaymakers to reach their favourite destinations.

One of the biggest announcements is the return of Bangkok as a year-round destination. Once a winter-only route, the Thai capital will now welcome British Airways flights three times weekly throughout the summer, increasing to six times weekly in winter. This marks a significant expansion, with nearly 60,000 additional seats available for those heading to Southeast Asia. Thanks to the airline’s strengthened codeshare with Bangkok Airways, customers will also enjoy seamless connections to idyllic spots such as Phuket and even further afield to Phnom Penh.

In the Caribbean, the airline is increasing its presence in Jamaica. From summer 2026, British Airways will fly to Kingston four times per week, adding more than 300 additional seats each week. With the Jamaican Tourist Board forecasting five million arrivals by March 2026, the island’s tourism boom looks set to continue, and BA’s increased capacity will give UK travellers more chances to experience its beaches, culture, and legendary hospitality.

Across the Atlantic, the US network sees some notable boosts. Miami will once again enjoy a twice-daily service from Heathrow, while Dallas-Fort Worth returns as a daily connection. Holidaymakers bound for the bright lights of Las Vegas will benefit from 13 weekly services – three more than before – while those travelling to San Diego and Austin will have double-daily flights to choose from. Meanwhile, New York JFK services are being consolidated exclusively at Heathrow, now operating nine times daily, with a fresh focus on premium comfort thanks to British Airways’ 777-200 fleet featuring its First cabin and Club Suite.

The Middle East is also firmly in focus. Bahrain is set for daily flights, more than doubling BA’s current schedule, while Saudi Arabia sees Jeddah expanded to five flights weekly and Riyadh to 14. In Qatar, Doha will also benefit from double-daily services, enhancing connectivity for both leisure and business travellers.

Closer to home, British Airways’ short-haul arm, BA Euroflyer, is adding to its growing Gatwick network. From this winter, Rabat, the capital of Morocco, and Graz, a charming Austrian city, will join the schedule as year-round services – perfect for cultural escapes and city breaks.

Neil Chernoff, British Airways’ Chief Planning and Strategy Officer, commented:

“We’re delighted to expand our long-haul network from London Heathrow and Gatwick next summer, adding more services to some of our most-loved destinations. Whether customers are travelling for business, leisure, or visiting loved ones, these additional flights offer greater choice and convenience, making it easier than ever to connect with favourite destinations around the world.”

For travellers planning ahead, summer 2026 with British Airways offers more options than ever – whether it’s soaking up the vibrant energy of Bangkok, enjoying reggae rhythms in Jamaica, hitting the beaches of Miami, or exploring the cultural treasures of the Middle East.
