Wesley Baker

Travel has been central to Wesley's life and career for more than four decades. His professional relationship with the industry began during the 1980s, when he worked overseas around the Mediterranean during the formative years of the modern European package holiday industry.

Those early seasons took him into destinations including mainland Spain and the Balearic Islands and began a relationship with the Mediterranean that has continued throughout his life.

Wesley subsequently built and led businesses across travel, tour operations, aviation, technology, software, artificial intelligence, medical technology, media, manufacturing and international distribution. He has lived and worked in the United Kingdom, Spain and the United States and has travelled extensively for both business and pleasure.

Today he is Founder and CEO of PURE ONE Group, a travel, media and experiences company whose portfolio includes PURE ONE Travel, PURE ONE Business, OCEAN FEVER and PURE Vacations.

PURE Vacations brings together destination writing, travel stories, culture, experiences and inspiration accumulated across many years. Wesley's writing for PURE Vacations dates back to 2015 and reflects both his professional travel background and his personal fascination with destinations, people and the stories behind them.

Spain has played an especially important part in his life. His experiences of Catalonia, the Costa Brava, Andalusia, Mallorca and the wider Mediterranean have subsequently become the setting for much of his published writing.
