Blue Surf is a cozy and private oasis.We offer four luxurious bungalows that uniquely appeal to all of your senses. Each distinctively decorated bungalow boasts exotic, hand carved woods, elegant textures, aromatherapy candles, pillow top mattress' & natural, comfortable bedding. These individually designed interiors become intimate, private retreats, so as to enhance your comfort while enjoying your time with us.

We are located right at Suck Rock, a famous surf break in Costa Rica and we are within steps of stunning white sand beaches hosting some of the best variety of surf and breath taking sunsets in Costa Rica.

Surf School

Blue Surf Sanctuary is extremely proud to be the only Billabong sponsored, upscale surf school and surf destination in Costa Rica's Nicoya Peninsula! We are honored to be sharing our love and respect for the art of surfing in the beautiful & tropical, warm waters of Santa Teresa~Mal Pais.

We believe that surf is not just a sport but a lifestyle and attitude, one of peace, health and pure joy... having fun in the water and respect for Mother Earth when out of her seas. Surfing is healing and magical and limitless~ for anyone and everyone~ to enjoy and we wish to offer you the skills to join this world wide community and begin a life transforming experience!

At Blue Surf, you will experience all this in a stunning environment with like minded souls! You will leave us changed for the better, relaxed and looking forward to your return! Our packages can be customized to suit your needs, desires and level, but most include two surf lessons daily with experienced and CPR certified instructors. When we have guests that are advanced, we arrange your transportation to secret spots!

Our student ratio is never more than 3 to 1, and often times less as your skills progress during the week, you may be instructed privately as we base your program solely on your individual needs. With several gorgeous beaches in the area each offering different breaks, we always have suitable fun waves and safe place to teach you.

Amenities 

Individual bungalows all have A/C, ceiling fan, hot water, gorgeous , breezy verandas and pillow top mattress'. In each room,we also provide, a digital lap top size room safe, rain can shower heads , beautiful furnishings, organic soap and aromatherapy candles.

Other Amenities include our rich Costa Rican coffee service, , daily house keeping, cool sparkling pool, security guard, open air rancho kitchen, internet access, communal direct TV and access to phone. Most impressive, we are just steps away from one of Forbe's " Top ten most breathtaking beaches in the world."

We have become known for our stellar customer service. Our manager & partner in the surf school, Pia,has years of experience in hotel management and has dedicated herself to make sure all of your needs are met. A local, originally from Argentina, she speaks perfect English and Spanish and emits the most beautiful energy and Pura Vida vibe. Pia and her staff are more than happy to help accommodate arranging all your holiday wishes while you are our guests.

We offer private or group surf lessons, private yoga, massages, spa services, quad and bike rental, zip line canopy tours, horseback riding, sport fishing, a trip to Cabo Blanco Nature reserve or the Montezuma waterfalls, restaurant recommendations and reservations, booking tours, taxis, and more....We work together to ensure your vacation is effortless and all about you, your comfort and enjoyment!Her lovelystaff ensures the same!

In our inviting, cozy outdoor rancho kitchen and communal area ,infamous delicious coffee is always brewing and you are welcome to utilize our fully equipped kitchen...or one can watch direct TV, DVDS or even better.... videos of yourself catching the waves of the day! Perhaps you will choose a book from our book exchange library or enjoy the company of an eclectic mix of interesting souls...our other guests. You might find yourself playing backgammon, cards or a relaxing game of chess. Bring your laptop if you would like to keep in touch with family and friends using our free dial up internet.

Our gorgeous bungalows are only 150 yards from the sand and world famous surf breaks.

Accommodations

All Bungalows can accommodate up to 4 people. Click above oneach bungalow for specifics on bed arrangements. An extra single bed can be ordered. Every bungalow is built high off the ground, allowing for amazing sea breezes and the sounds of the ocean to lull you to sleep at night. Bungalows come equipped with A/C , ceiling fan, hot water , pillow top mattress' and a digital room safe. We provide daily house keeping and organic soap. In keeping with the calming blue theme, mosaic showers have room for two and the rain can shower head will soothe your muscles with hot water after a day of surf, yoga or hiking! Large comfortable chairs on the balcony will provide you with tree top views to see the monkeys, butterflies , fireflys and birds.

Each Bungalow features gorgeous, thoughtfully chosen decor, lovely balconies that offer tree top views, ocean breezes and the exotic sounds of the jungle. To make hanging out on the veranda an ultra relaxing experience, We chose stylishand comfortable furnishings. 

All bungalows feature lush pillow top mattress' that will have you resting deeply. Our private bathrooms feature hand carved stone sinks, organic soaps, gorgeous all tile & spacious hot water showers with rain can shower heads and windows that invite in the stars andmoonlight. The bungalows were built with ventilation inmind, therefore each is equipped a ceiling fan and A/C for ultimate comfort. You will have peace of mind knowing your personal belongings are completely protected with state of the art digital laptop room safes that are large enough to fit cameras, laptops and other personal items.
