Basic Surf Experience

San Sebastian is located in the Basque country of Northern Spain and is the true treasure of Basque surfing and setting itself apart from the more main stream crowded surf spots along the coastline towards the Santander beach resorts of Somo and Loredo. This unique and basic Spain surfing experience is aimed at those of you looking for a clean, basic true Spanish surf trip at great value for money but experiencing the real spain. This is a lively surf experience in a town that is busy with activity, great bars, good surf and wonderful atmosphere. Eating in Spain is a great pleasure, its cheap, full of flavour and goes down well with Spanish beer or a glass of chilled wine.

The accommodation is with in a lovely quaint and traditional surf hostel in the heart of San Sebastian. Our accommodation is located just 2 minutes walk from the beach and the promenade that runs round the bay of San Sebastian.

The rooms are dormitory style or small sharing rooms and are clean and tidy, and the bathroom room facilities are shared but also of the same standard. You will find a Kitchen available for use and there are plenty of supermarkets close by if you require these although eating out in this lovely surf town is very easy and great value.

We offer two very specific surf experiences in San Sebastian:

Surf Guiding: This surfing experience of northern spain is aimed at beginners up to professionals and involves daily surf guiding of all the hidden great spots along the coast with a top local surfer. You will get to surf spots only accessible by those in the know and enjoy some Spanish glassy conditions.

Surf School/Clinic: This surfing experience is aimed at those wanting to learn surfing for the first time or wanting to experience more instruction (i.e. you may already surf but need to have more lessons). The lessons are for 1 hour and include your equipment and are in a small group environment. This is not an intense course but a basic course aimed at getting you enjoying the surf.

If you want a basic cheap experience of surfing then these experiences are ideal for you to enjoy Spain at the same time.

This is not an experience for couples looking to have a romantic retreat!!!
