This "Learn to Surf Experience" is located with this lovely traditional country house built in 2001 with single access to the garden and a large fireplace in the lounge.
The village of Barrika where the accommodation is located is in the West coast of the Basque Country, 24 kilometres from Bilbao. The centre it is a mixture of some old palace houses and residential houses and you can experience beautiful views of the Basque coastline from the village itself.
Very near to Barrika Village, we find the traditional Northern Spanish villages of Plentzia and Gorliz, full of life and activities. Whilst the outskirts of Bariika village is surround by traditional Basque farm houses.
The beach of Meņakoz is located in Barrika, it is one of the most frequented by quality local surfers, and has a lovely shaped wave.
It is located in the coastal area of Barrika, next to the cliffs, park and wild beach of the same name. You can see beautiful sunsets from the house, as well as wonderful views, among others, of Castro Urdiales, Laredo, Isla, etc.
The accommodation is very privileged, close by there is a local pub/bar where many a local surfer frequents after a hard but fun day in the surf. There are also some great walks along the cliff tops taking in the surf beaches below, great for morning dawn patrols.
The accommodation is in twin and double rooms and are decorated with typical Basque style colours and furninshing of the region and are spacious and comfortable. There are however no Televisions with in the house, as teh ethos is one of relaxation. Every single detail of the house is designed to make the stay the most comfortable possible. |
