 At the accommodation they don't offer food. They only serve breakfast. Locally there is a good selection of local restaurants offering good quality Basque food. Next to the guesthouse there is a very famous chicken grill, the biggest in the region and is very popular during summer time. You will find all types of drinks, from wines to beers, liquors, etc. But there is a local Basque white wine very nice and fresh which is called "Txakoli".

There is not in the area any specialised restaurant in vegetarian food, but there are plenty of Basque local restaurants which offer plates that have vegetables and non meat plates.

What happens if I hurt myself surfing whilst staying at the Hotel?
There are hospitals near the village of Barrika for small injuries and they are good quality hospitals. In case of more important injuries, Bilbao is about 35 minutes away where there are many larger well equiped hospitals. The public and private health sector works very well in Spain.

What is the local area like?
In the Summer time it becomes very lively around the whole area, full of local tourist. There are many bars in the village of Barrika. Nightlife is a bit quieter the rest of the year, but on all weekends it gets a lot more lively no matter what time of the year. To the centre of Plentzia it is about 5 minutes by car, where you find the shops, bars and restaurants. Next to the accommodation there are bars and clubs with lunch facilities.
