The Coconuts Beach Resort embodies all that is wonderful about this unique destination. Coconuts truly conveys the feeling that you are staying in a traditional Samoan village, with a uniquely relaxed atmosphere which still boasts all the normal up-scale comforts. Coconuts is very idiosyncratic, meaning that it is meant to reflect the very personal ideas, opinions and priorities that are uniquely those of it's founding partners - Sieni, Mika and Afa. That simple concept became the focus and the building block behind the creation of this very special resort.

Coconuts is located on the site of the old village of Maninoa. The people, together with their fales and church moved from the sea to the area around the main road some 50 years ago because the main road (then a dirt track) offered easy transportation to other villages and to Apia. Prior to the road, the only way to get around was by outrigger canoe. A lot has changed since then but the locals still believe that the spirit of their ancestors still bless and strengthen all that visit this special place

The highlight of many people's stay at Coconuts is the fabulous food! This is thanks to the joint owner and legendary chef Mike Pirics (Mika in the local lingo) there to serve as the culinary genius. After owning and running several very popular restaurants in Hawaii, Mika decided to retreat with to this new paradise, and our guests plates have been grateful ever since. Many travel guides and magazines have called Mika's restaurant the best in Samoa, if not the whole South Pacific, and the raves from our guests are non-stop
