Surfing Experience

With this experience we will expose you to the wonders of surfing Southern Portugal with a truly great surfing holiday.

This is an "Exclusive Surf Experience" to Pure Vacations.

We will take you in style to the beach in vans, (some beaches have difficult access) and trips to the beach include a pack lunch and water.

For those of you having Surf School experience, you'll be kited out in the latest O' Neil wetsuits with a board that is suited to your level. For the beginners you will have one of our new soft top boards to prevent any possible injuries. Lessons include beach and ocean awareness & safety. You will be taken through the timing of the waves to catching a wave paddling. You'll be shown a technique in which to stand on the board that works for you. Beginners will also be shown how to turn left and right, weight adjustment on the board and finally catching 'green waves'.

For those of you who are already surfers the surf guiding experience is for you and we have long boards, mini mals, short boards and fishes available for you or if you have your old favourite board that you just cant be without just bring it along. We will take you to a local surf beach daily to catch waves that suits your ability. Any bad habits will be corrected for you by our surf guides and we will focus improving you basic maneuvers such as bottom turn, speed & hitting the lip whilst also offering you the guiding experience.

After your surfing experience, we hang around the beach for a while, watching the waves, having a drink and relax, or enjoying the sunset. And then we pack everything together and drive to back to the guest house where you can relax and get ready for a lovely evening out in Lagos Town, perhaps open a bottle of wine or two and have a nice meal.

The experience is based in Lagos, which is 10 miles west of Portimao and 50 miles west of Faro, on the south west coast of Portugal. Lagos offers a very likeable mix of thriving market town, historic seaport and popular small beach resort. Lagos is one of the most ancient towns in the Algarve: a fishing harbour enclosed by crumbling walls, set on a beautiful wide bay. Lagos holidays offer the opportunity to get a real taste of Portuguese life in a fishing port with a vibrant atmosphere, a great deal of charm and a certain touch of sophistication with its narrow cobbled streets in the old town. This charming old town has whitewashed houses, colourful flower-decked squares, museums and churches as well as lovely small quaint bars and restaurants.

Your accommodation on this experience is with in a small moderate standard guest house with en suite well decorated rooms and with literally EVERYTHING on your front door, shops, bars, restaurants, cafe's, beach is 5 min's walk, marina 7 min's walk.
