 The Hugo Beaty Bar & Café is the perfect place to sit back and relax whilst enjoying fabulous food and drink in stylish surroundings. Breakfasts are served from 09h00 to 12h00 and include the traditional Full English Breakfast as well as healthier options such as cereals and yoghurts. From 12h00 there are homemade quiches, salads, pasties and other snacks, in addition to the Daily Special. The Sandwich Bar offers different types of bread to form the basis of your sandwich, which can then be filled with a selection of tantalising fillings.
In the evening the bar becomes one of Luz’s most chic places to chill out with an extensive selection of wines and beers, and the bar stays open until 1am nightly!
This poolside bar is ideal for the entire family serving snacks and lunches all day. There is a regular BBQ in the high season with lively entertainment. The Gazebo bar features an impressive menu that includes light main courses, homemade beef burgers, grilled foods, innovative pasta dishes, fresh salads, children’s meals and a good selection of hot and cold sandwiches.
As well as the on site bar and cafe there are a number of Portuguese restaurants specializing in Portuguese cuisine such as the many kinds of fish and seafood available as well as the famous chicken piri-piri and many Algarvian dishes such as pork and clams.
There is also pizza, chinese, Italian and various snack bars within walking distance. Also you can purchase various wines, beer, spirits or be daring and try the local 'fire water' Medronha.

What is the local beach like?
Praia da Luz is an excellent family beach and is calm most of the year. In the winter months however waves may be present. Lifeguards are present in the summer months.
The beach is surrounded on the one side by a majestic cliff with a stunning volcanic rock 'Rocha Negra' which provides a perfect right hand point break when enough swell. The other side of the beach is surrounded by the quaint old town of Luz with various cafe's and a beach bar. Various activities are available on the beach such as swimming, fishing, windsurfing, sailing, water skiing & wakeboarding as well as the bananas etc.

There is no set manager but the English speaking, 24hr reception will be more than happy to help you with any troubles you might have.

What happens if I hurt myself surfing whilst staying at the Hotel?
If they are at the accommodation there is a 24hr receptionist available and a hospital close by.

What is the local area like?
Within 5 mins walk there are a number of cafe's, bars, nightclubs and restaurants available throughout the year and Lagos is a 7 minute drive from Luz.

Will there be other surfers staying at this Hotel?
We get a complete mixture from families to people from the armed forces. Obviously many clients are those that prefer a bit of luxury to the old style bunk beds and mouldy linen.

Internet is available for free, but it is a wired connection.
