This fantastic resort is built on a deserted Island called Siloinak Island. Siloinak Island is situated one hour by speed boat from Siberut the main Island from the Mentawai archipelago.

Siloinak Resort is built in a traditional Mentawai style, it's simple but it's got a lot of charm, everything is about it screams island paradise. The Resort is composed of a large restaurant and twenty bungalows accommodating one or two people. The roofs are made of palm leaves and the complex is entirely built with local tropical red wood with each bungalow having its own private beach! Toilets and bathrooms are shared, but are kept very clean.

Organized in close cooperation with certain Mentawai tribes, the Mentawai Surf Camp offers you the opportunity to live on Siloinak, a quiet deserted island situated right in one of the best surf spots in the world. Mentawai Surf offers a surf experience that you will never forget, thanks to the quality of our surf guides. All born in the area, they learned to surf with the first pioneers who dared venture there, 10 years ago. They have worked as independent guides or onboard the charter boats coming from Sumatra so they know all the best spots, according to swell, tide and winds. With them, you will surf far from the crowds (and 'crowds' is anyway something of an overstatement.) in a radius of 30 miles from our resort; an area that includes 21 of the most consistent waves in the world.

We offer a 10 day surf package at this resort, just take a look at our amazing suggested itinerary :-

Day 1 - Arrival in Padang
A Surf Camp member will welcome you at the airport and if necessary assist you in getting a visa. Your bags will be loaded into resort vechiles and you will be escorted to a comfortable hotel for a shower and rest until the transfer to the harbour at around 7 pm. The ferry to the Mentawai Islands leaves between 8 and 10 pm for a full night's crossing. Meanwhile, we will visit Padang's old city and Market.

Day 2 - Arrival on Siloinak Island
The ferry offers basic cabins of four to six bunks. This is, however, the most comfortable way to travel the 130 km (about 10 hours) to the Mentawai Archipelago. The ferry reaches Siberut Island on the second day of your journey, at 7 or 8 am. From the Muara Siberut harbor, our speedboats take you to Siloinak Island, about a 40-minute boat ride. However, the departure timetable of the ferry is subject to changes due to pending major cargo, motor maintenance or weather conditions. In the event the ferry is grounded, we will use our speedboats to make the crossover to Siloinak Island. The trip should take from 5 to 6 hours. The speedboat's departure time will vary according to the weather and sea conditions. We may leave Day 1 at around 11 am and reach Siloinak at about 4 pm. We may also leave Day 2 at 5 am.You will then spend the first night at the hotel, either at Padang or at Bungus Beach (a 45 minute drive). In this case, the cost of accommodation is included in our price. We will surf in the afternoon of Day 2.

Day 2 to Day 8 - Surf at Siloinak Island
Wake up with the sun, a good breakfast and your speedboat leaves around 7 a.m for a full day of surf. The surfers are usually divided into two groups, to keep numbers to a minimum and adapt the program to their level. Your guide will choose the best spots according to the prevailing conditions. You will reach them after a 10 to 30 minute-sail. Our speedboats, equipped with two powerful outboard engines, offer an incredible flexibility in the choice of waves.

Day 9 - Back to Padang
After lunch, transfer to Muara Siberut.The ferry leaves between 8 and 10 pm. In case there is no ferry, departure by speedboat at 5 am, to make sure you arrive in Padang in time. In this case, the night's accommodation in Padang or Bungus is included in the price.

Day 10 - End of an Amazing Trip
Breakfast in Padang and transfer to the airport for travelers departing the same day.
