Our Surf Experience on the Island of Lanzarote has been featured with Pure Vacations since 1999. This is our oldest and best surf school worldwide and includes clean basic apartments with in a beautiful backdrop of this volcanic tropical island. For many of you the resort of Famara will be a surf paradise in itself with quality beach break waves regularly hitting the shore... however for those of you looking to experience seeing some of the best waves in Europe you will most likely enjoy exploring the many coves and reef breaks that surround the island and make this destination the number 1 choice for surfers from Europe.

Your experience accommodation will be in traditional basic and clean apartments that are of excellent standard and well maintained.

All accommodation is located in the small Lanzarote village of Caleta de Famara , where the surf clinic also operates.

The village is in a protected national park area, as is the surfing beach of Playa de Famara. Staying here you will find you are in the most tranquil of surroundings but if you feel the need for some nightlife other than a great meal and a beer you will find it a short trip away at the busy resort of Puerto Del Carmen.

The private apartments have one double room and one twin room or in some cases for larger groups 4 separate beds, spacious living rooms and well equipped kitchens.

They all vary but are very clean and tidy and all with in walking distance of the surf and other facilities such as a supermarket and local bar. The apartments are privately owned and have a range of decor which can not be standardised but all have been inspected and meet the high standards set by Pure Vacations.

During your stay in Lanzarote you may wish to have a look around this incredible island. A small island 56 miles long, 20 miles wide it is totally volcanic. Producing a surreal yet beautiful landscape. The island is part of the World Biosphere and is left very much in its natural state. Playa de Famara is considered by many to be its most beautiful beach. Average water temperatures in winter 18C and 25C in summer.
