There is no close restaurants so we have a chef who creates menus that incorporate an eclectic blend of local seasonal vegetables and fruit, fresh fish and meats.
We place the highest emphasis on provision of fresh quality meals and snacks. We have a fully stocked licensed bar with barman who can just as easily make a gin and tonic or a tropical cocktail concoction of spirits, liqueurs and fruits. The local beer is Fiji Bitter.

What is the local beach like?
Surfing takes places over coral reef at the ledge of the lagoon. It takes about 10 minutes by boat to get to the local breaks. We also do day trips to Frigates Passage which is becoming well known as a world class break. This is 20kilometers offshore.
We advise that surfers must be of intermediate to advanced level. It is DEFINITELY NOT a place for beginners.
Our surf guides are in the water with guests and as well we have a boatman always in the boat which is equipped with all safety gear.

What happens if I hurt myself surfing whilst staying at the experience?
We and our surf guides have basic first aid and rescue skills. There is a health centre with doctor in the next village which is about 15 minutes by car away.
I have it in mind to eventually set up a fully operational infirmary and invite surfing doctors to holiday (FOC) to look after the health of the guests and to also assist at the health centre. This concept has been pioneered by Tavarua Island Resort here in Fiji.
------------------------------------------------------
What is the local area like?
No nearby nighlife. When we have the kava ceremony, after the formalities are over it becomes relaxed and we have the Fijian staff playing guitar and ukulele.
We have peace and quiet, or lots of conversation or star gazing at night. Of course we also have music and movie DVD’s. We also have a table tennis set up. Lots of books. It’s a 15 minute drive to the nearest village where there is a local store, school and health centre. The nearest shopping centre is 30 minutes drive. Suva the capital of Fiji is one hour away.
