Surf Experience El Tunco Style

Located in the Central American Pacific Coast, our surf experience at the Playa El Tunco Beach has become world famous for its waves, its natural beauty, warm waters and year round tropical climate. Its proximity to the Airport and the capital San Salvador (30 min drive each) has made this beach one of the most developed ones in La Libertad. The accommodation is inspired by the Native culture of the Nahuats or Pipiles, one of the many different tribes who inhabited El Salvador in ancient times and who descended from the Aztecs. The land it's self has deep connections with the Jaguar, once the most sacred animal of our forests, now sadly extinct! So we honour its name in respect to our nature and our mission is to make your stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible in a calm and natural environment.

We offer you six Beach front rooms each with A/C, Direct TV, private terrace and private bathroom. Restaurant service is attended by highly trained cooks, specializing in local and international cuisine. The higest quality food and service is assured all whilst relaxing to a spectacular view of the Ocean and la Bocana Surf-break, the only left point break in El Salvador. We also have a small infinity pool where you can relax with your friends after a tiring surf-session.

We also offer you a "Temascal", which is a dome shaped Native American Sauna made and used the ancient way. In past times there were public Temascales in every small village so that everybody could experience the healing properties of it. These healing properties were not only for curing Physical illness, but Spiritual ones too. Temascal bath strengthens the spirit and the soul, and is a place for people to think and take vital decisions in their lives.
