The Seminyak Surfari Camp

At the centre of our Seminyak Surfari is really discovering the island, with its many surfspots and numerous other attractions. Mobility is a big thing so that both beginners and experienced surfers certainly get their money's worth with the guided tours that are arranged up to six times a day. Accompanied by our guides by car and boat, you'll be able to discover the perfect waves all around this more than divine island. The camp is about 3 km north of the seething tourist stronghold, Kuta at the quieter spot of Seminyak. A distance that means you can choose between a relaxing evening at the camp or a hot night clubbing in Kuta.

The six wonderful kilometres of Kuta Beach is only a few minutes' walk from the camp and this offers you the legendary beachbreaks, such as Half-Way, Padma or KuDeTa. These breaks are ideal for beginners and are a great counter-piece to the daily tours. However, if you prefer to be out and about on your own, you're free to use our jeeps and mountain bikes.

Seminyak Surfari's big plus is that Surfguiding is inclusive! Six days of the week we organise up to six "Guided Tours" to various breaks all round Bali. The surfspots we head for are graded according to the various surf levels and selected depending on the tide, swell and wind conditions. Our guides are all familiar with the island and can give you competent briefing on the spot. Here they'll point out the characteristics of reef surfing or any hazards. The guides are always with you in the water, giving you tips and showing you tricks.

For beginners the many beachbreaks on our doorstep (e.g. HalfWay, Padma, KuDeTa, DoubleSix) are ideal for riding your first green wave and improving your take-off. These spots are considered world-class beachbreaks and even experienced surfers can get a perfect ride here.

For intermediate surfers Bali has a whole series of soft reef and semi-beachbreaks in store. Perfect waves at long pointbreaks will push your skills and maybe even make you an advanced surfer by the end of your stay.

Of course it is the advanced surfers that really get their money's worth on Bali. The best waves all round Bali are on our daily schedule: the perfect Airport breaks, the classic Bali waves such as Dreamland and Balangan or the world famous spots like Padang- Padang, Keramas or Uluwatu. With a bit of luck, by the end of your holiday yo might be able to boast that you even managed Uluwatu! With our years of experience you're always at the right spot!

For your comfort and to let you really enjoy your holiday every effort has been made to create a genuine Bali feeling in our choice of accommodation. The Base Camp is a quiet place on Bali's west coast, a few minutes' walk from Kuta. Shopping, dining, clubbing are all within easy walking distance.

The rooms (all with their own bathroom and terrace) are situated around the natural stone pool in the tropical garden and they all have hot water and ventilators. The Robinson Crusoe design of the entire camp ensures you experience island lifestyle at its best. The Chill House with its HiFi/DVD, beach bar, BBQ corner or hammocks is ideal for hanging out between surfing trips: relaxing, wining and dining, whatever you fancy...
