The Attikamekws and Raftmen Country Snowmobiling Tour
Here is a snowmobile raid intended for the adventurous travelers. A true epic that allows the participants to reach the outermost of the Canadian Great North. More than a thousand kilometers of winding paths in very sparsely populated, but unbelievably beautiful Northern areas. A demanding expedition during which the riders will discover countless frozen lakes, wild territories which extend beyond the eye can see, some Indian reserves and much more! At the end of each day, the travelers will be in position to rest with style in the comfort of the superb outfitters and the cozy log-made lodges we selected for them. Pure and simple happiness!
Day 1 - Montreal / Mauricie
Arrival and shuttle from the airport to the Auberge Mattawin.
Day 2 - Mauricie / High-Mauricie (203 km)
Explanation of safety guidelines, technical advices and initial training. Leave by snowmobile at morning's end for a journey across the magnificent sceneries of the Laurentian Mountains. Our destination: a superb resort managed by the local Abenaki community. Dinner and night at the Odanak outfitter.
Day 3 - High-Mauricie (217 km)
We continue to explore the wild beauty of the native ancestral territory. We are now heading towards the Wemotaci Native community. A breathtaking itinerary across post card landscapes that will culminate at the door of the legendary Gouin Reservoir. It is in this fabulous setting, far away from all civilizations, that you will pass the night at the Windigo outfitter.
Day 4 - High-Mauricie / High-Lanaudiere (255 km)
The snowmobile adventure continues on across the endless forest territory of northern Quebec. We are now heading east towards the Manawan Native Reserve. Welcome in the Attikamekw territory! Today you will have a better sense of our definition of vast stretches of untamed wilderness. Our destination: a very isolated fishing club. Dinner and night at the Pourvoirie Lac du Repos.
Day 5 - High-Lanaudiere / Mauricie (219 km)
Today we return in the Mauricie region, the land of the raftmens and the loggers! On our way, we will stop in the area of the majestic Taureau Réservoir before the crossing of the magnificent Mastigouche Wildlife Reserve. At the end of the day, you'll be greeted with a fabulous fondue feast in your luxurious log made lodge: The Saint-Elie Lodge.
Day 6 - Mauricie / Montreal (170 km)
We now head back to the Adventure Center while riding along the magnificent scenic trails of the Mastigouche Wildlife Reserve. Back at the adventure center at the end of the day, you'll take advantage of a farewell dinner during which you'll have the opportunity to discuss about your adventures before the transfer to Montreal. Night at the Roberval Hotel.
Day 7 - Montreal
Those who returned to Montreal the night before will take advantage of some free time to discover the city before the airport transfer.
