You'll find many parts of Kansas are places that are (unlike the rest of the United States) relatively unspoiled by 21st Century living and because of this so are the activities available, there's not many computer arcades or shopping malls here:
Bike Riding: Biking is a great way to see Kansas (and to get fit), just the ability to off your bike to examine the bloom of a delicate evening primrose or to peer at schooling fish in a creek makes it the ideal way of really seeing your surroundings. Once on the hills you'll soon be flipping over rocks to look for snakes and lizards and scanning the hillside for coyotes. The hills of Kanasas require close inspection to reveal many of their wonders, making a bicycle a perfect way to explore.
Hunting:
You miss a lot of the world by snoring through sunrise. Even in the pre-dawn darkness before turkeys start roaming the fields, you're never really alone in Kansas. Kansas is renowned for its upland hunting of pheasants and quail. But turkey hunters are also discovering a challenging version of their sport in the wide-open western spaces. When birds approach hunters across hundreds of open acres, the birds have plenty of chances to get skittish.
Wildlife: Birds, deer, buffalo and other wildlife are always close at hand in Kansas and with a plethora of national park and wild life reserves to visit there's no excuse not to get the "back to nature" bug..
