Madison Dude Ranch Experience

Experience southern hospitality at its finest at this wonderfully accommodating ranch. Largely undiscovered, this ranch is nestled in Georgia's cattle country. The ranch is located just outside of Madison in one of Georgia's largest designated Historic districts. Known as "The Town Sherman Refused to Burn", stepping into Madison is like stepping back in time. This unique, historic community is a living museum containing some of America's most treasured architecture and culture from yesteryear. The town offers numerous antiques, crafts, and civil war artifact shops.

A few miles away, Lake Oconee offers some of the finest fishing in the Southeast. At 19,000 acres, it is Georgia's second largest lake. Leave the rest of the world behind and spend some time in Georgia's historic heartland reveling in bountiful meals, blissful seclusion, and joyful evenings. It is situated on two hundred acres of gently rolling land. You can horseback ride for hours and not leave the ranch. Whether you want to ride lazily through lush wooded trails or trot across beautiful open meadows, this ranch is big enough to accommodate your needs. The relaxed riding program allows guests to trail ride on their own if they choose. Horses are matched for novice and experienced riders, and lessons are available. If the saddle sores set in, there are still mountain bikes to ride.

After your daily activities, you will enjoy a relaxing dip in the swimming pool; you can work on your tan or soak away the exertion of the day in the outdoor hot tub. Other pastimes can be enjoyed: playing pool, darts or foosball in the game room, throwing horseshoes, or just reading a good book in the shade. The beauty of this ranch is that you can make every minute of your stay, as exciting or restful as you may desire.

Guests at this ranch rave about the food. The all-you-can-eat full country breakfast buffet will satisfy the heartiest of appetites. Lunch is served daily as the featured meal where guests are treated to an enormous spread, and of course there's dinner later. The meals feature a delightful mix of international cuisine as well as American favorites. After dinner enjoy a night of fun and games.
