Morocco Golf Tour Experience
DAY 01: CASABLANCA / MARRAKESH
Airport arrival, transfer and check-in to the hotel for a buffet lunch. Free time to relax until we depart for dinner in "Caleches" (horse-drawn carriages). We'll enjoy intimate views of the old city and dine at the restaurant "Yacout" in the splendid atmosphere of Andalusia Music and belly dancers. Overnight in Marrakech.
DAY 02: MARRAKESH After breakfast at the hotel, we'll spend the morning at the Marrakech Royal Golf Club. Built in the 1920s this is the oldest and arguably the most scenic course in Morocco. Cypress, eucalyptus, palm, olive, orange and apricot trees line the fairway and the snow capped Atlas Mountains provide a majestic backdrop for your game. Walk in the footsteps of Winston Churchill, David Lloyd George and Ike Eisenhower and try for par. In the afternoon, we'll take you to the souks and the famous square "Jamaa El Fna". We'll top the day off with an entertainment dinner at La Maison Arabe.
DAY 03: MARRAKESH
After a buffet breakfast at the hotel, we'll spend the morning at the masterpiece 18 hole Palmeraie Golf Club. Set on a spacious valley with numerous sand hazards, abundant palm trees and magnificent lakes, this golf course is truly a masterpiece. In the evening, we suggest a dinner at Chez Ali restaurant with a spectacle of belly dancers.
DAY 04: MARRAKESH / OUARZAZATE (126 Miles)
After breakfast, we will depart early for Ouarzazate, a caravan town in the foothills of the Atlas Mountains known as the Gateway to the Sahara. Our trip will take us through the dramatic landscape of the High Atlas Mountains passing through the Berber town of Taddert and over the 2,260-meter high Tiz-In-Tichka pass. We will stop at the famous Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou, one of the most intriguing red earth castles lining the ancient Route of the Kasbahs, before continuing to our hotel in Lunch at the Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah. After lunch, departure to Ouarzazate. We will make a stop to visit the Taourirt Kasbah of the famous Pasha Glaoui. Painted ceilings, arches, beautiful small windows in ironworks and woodwork have helped make it a world classified monument by UNESCO. The local guide will explain the lifestyle of the pasha, stressing the status of his women, the favorite and common law wives as well as the slaves. In the afternoon we will have a private visit of the Atlas Corporation Studio, a well-known cinematographic center used for blockbuster productions including Asterix and Cleopatre directed by Alain Chabat, and the Oscar winning Gladiator directed by Ridley Scott. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
DAY 05: OUARZAZATE
Today, you will enjoy a round of golf at Royal Golf Club (09 holes) in Ouarzazate. Make a beautiful drive and watch your ball fly up towards the eternal snow! The spectacular high Atlas can be seen from all points from this Royal Golf Course (3,150 m, par 36) especially when you consider that the course stands at the very gates of the desert where the Kasbah trail begins. Playing here is both incredibly captivating and complex. The broken terrain of the fairways with their slopes and embankments wind their way between palm trees around an immense lake, which also serves as a barrage on the challenging final hole. DAY 06: OUARZAZATE / TINEGHIR / ERFOUD / MERZOUGA (227 Km)
Our drive to Erfoud is very scenic and spectacular! We will through canyon walls until we see the gorgeous Dades Valley, the most beautiful of all the valleys. We will then arrive at the world's famous Merzouga Dubes. Tonight, get ready to enjoy a Bivouac at the VIP Camp site. And if you don't feel comfortable experiencing the lifestyle of nomadic Berber people with a night under tent, we can arrange for you to spend the night at the beautiful Hotel Kasbah Xaluca.
DAY 07: ERFOUD / FES (287 Miles)
Early morning wake-up call to watch a stunning sunrise off the Merzouga Dunes. This will include a Camel Ride for an hour. Return to the Camp site and departure to Fes. Arrival, check-in, dinner and overnight at the Riad. Shehrazade, a luxurious Andalusian style building with beautiful rooms.
DAY 08: FES
After breakfast and depending on your desire departure time from the hotel, we will enjoy a sightseeing tour in Fez, the oldest cultural and spiritual imperial city of Morocco, which was founded in 790 B.C by Moulay Idriss II. Highlights will include the Medieval Medina, the Medersas, the El Qaraouiyyin Mosque and the Nejjarine fountain. Overnight at the Riad.
DAY 09: FES
After a buffet breakfast at the hotel, we'll spend the morning at the Royal Golf Club of Fez. Lunch will take place either at the Golf Club or in Fez. Afternoon is yours free to relax or for more personal explorations of this great city. Dinner and overnight at the Riad.
DAY 10: FES / RABAT (123 Miles)
After breakfast, departure to Rabat, the capital of the Kingdom of Morocco. Check-in and lunch at the hotel. In the afternoon, we'll do some sightseeing of Rabat, which will include the Mohammed V Mausoleum, "Oudaya (oceanfront medina) and the surroundings of the Royal Palace. Dinner and overnight.
DAY 11: RABAT
You'll spend the day playing at one of the world's most famous Golf courses, the Dar-Es Salam Royal Golf Club. Home to the annual Hassan II Trophy Tournament, the renown Red Course is ranked among the most spectacular golf course in the world. Magnificently designed by Robert Trent Jones, the 3 courses at this club offer something for every golfer. We'll break for lunch in the club. Overnight in Rabat.
DAY 12: RABAT / CASABLANCA MOHAMMED V INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT
After a buffet breakfast, we'll drive to Casablanca Mohammed V international airport. Assistance with the boarding formalities.
