Surfing Spain's real surfing coastline to the North offer pristine surfing spots with out the crowds of other worldwide destinations. Here in the north you have tortuous outline of cliffs and bays with year round quality surfing and excellent sandy beaches and very green environment. The region is both traditional and a lot different from southern Spain and offers a very small community feel to its visitors. Spain is consistently warm with pleasant temperatures in winter and hot in the summer offering excellent surfing conditions particular in the European winter months when 6ft offshore is not uncommon. You can experience real hot summers and year long warmth even in the harshest of winters, but the North does receive rain at times and offers a wonderful green feel to the countryside.

The swells are year long in Spain, although the summer months are ideal for surfing holidays with warm waters and nice sized swells, Autumn and Spring give slightly cooler conditions but glassy mornings and evenings and winter provides crisp but clean surf. Northern Spain will suit all standard of surfer and is a great cultural experience. Locals you meet are friendly and helpful and surfers made very welcome.
