Surfing in El Salvador is both a cultural experience and a greatly enjoyable pleasure. The surfing season is almost year round with the best months being March to October. During the months of November and December the surfing will average is 3 to 6 feet and be very clean, January and February the waves are very small but clean, very good for learning, and in our experience if there's a 3 foot swell or more the surf will be truly great. This is a destination for all to enjoy but it is also the best type of surfing experience that you could hope for, a real surfing travel experience never to be forgotten for the right reasons.

The great thing about resorts in El Salvador is there 's hardly ever any crowding, this is something you will rarely have to deal with, with the exception of 3 or 4 friendly locals you will probably have the surfing just to yourself. You will find great swell along the whole coats that offers great waves with long rides and barrel sections.

The Surfing in El Salvador was originally made famous by the legendary waves of Puerto Roca in La Libertad but El Salvador is more than just a one wave surfing destination as the whole country is literally swarming with amazing right point breaks. Many countryman claim that El Salvador has the highest density of point breaks in the whole of America and after surfing there it's very hard to disagree.

La Libertad
Located just 30 minutes away from San Salvador and 40 minutes from the Int'l Airport Comalapa, La Libertad is the most popular surfing region in the country. You will ride and tube the most incredible and un-crowded spots in the world at 5 minutes distance one of the other.

Punta Roca:
One of the best right point breaks in the world. Probably the best wave in the country. And top 10 in the world according to experts. Fast and furious Punta Roca is a wave that will keep you coming back to El Salvador!

Sunzal:
Probably the most popular spot in La Libertad, a deep water break that holds the greatest swells of La Libertad. It is very consistent throughout the year an offers you very long rides. It also has a modest surfing scene and "lunada fiestas" (moon parties).
