Surfing in El Salvador is both a cultural experience and a greatly enjoyable pleasure. The surfing season is almost year round with the best months being March to October. During the months of el salvador Surfing Holidays el salvador Surfing Vacations el salvador Surfing TravelNovember and December the surfing will average is 3 to 6 feet and be very clean, January and February the waves are very small but clean, very good for learning, and in our experience if there's a 3 foot swell or more the surf will be truly great. This is a destination for all to enjoy but it is also the best type of surfing experience that you could hope for, a real surfing travel experience never to be forgotten for the right reasons.

The great thing about resorts in El Salvador is there 's hardly ever any crowding, this is something you will rarely have to deal with, with the exception of 3 or 4 friendly locals you will probably have the surfing just to yourself. You will find great swell along the whole coats that offers great waves with long rides and barrel sections.

The Surfing in El Salvador was originally made famous by the legendary waves of Puerto Roca in La Libertad but El Salvador is more than just a one wave surfing destination as the whole country is literally swarming with amazing right point breaks. Many el salvador Surfing Holidays el salvador Surfing Vacations el salvador Surfing Travelcountryman claim that El Salvador has the highest density of point breaks in the whole of America and after surfing there it's very hard to disagree.

Santa Maria de Mizata is a small beach village off the “Litoral” or coastal Highway 2. It is an hour and a half from San Salvador and 28 miles west of Sunzal, but it’s a world away in terms of crowds, water quality, vibe. Mizata is a town the world has mostly overlooked and that is great for travelers wanting a quality taste of El Salvador’s legendary surf and lifestyle, in a relaxed, surf-intense setting. It’s not unusual to find yourself out at the point, in wonderful surf just by yourself

The main spot at Mizata is The Point, a right and a left breaking off a cobblestone river mouth, in the fine tradition of cobblestone river mouths around the world. The right is longer at 50 to 100 yards, while the left is shorter and zips toward the beach break at The Beach Break, which is divided into three areas: Boulder is on the left side of the beach, in front of the Lodge – a left beach break that gets hollow with the right swell angle and tide. Antenna is in the middle of the beach. Formed by a shallow sandbar, Antenna is an A frame that is consistently the most fun and hollow wave in Mizata. Don Miguel’s is an easier, beginner wave, a right beach break in front of the last shack on the beach.

Xoxxi accommodation is offering simple and comfortable, modern but classic. Set on the edge of the beach, between the jungle and the sea, Mizata has 5 clean and comfortable, tropical rooms. Air conditioning and satellite TV bring modern comforts to the edge of the jungle. Each room has a custom surf mural on the wall, and second-floor balconies with a view of the ocean for repeated surf checks, or watching your friends have a lash while you relax between surfs. The freshwater swimming pool is perfect for non-surfing guests and also for rinsing off the sun and salt after six hours of scratching around and getting barreled.

Surfers need good food to fuel up for a long day of chasing peaks, and the cooks were all trained at the national culinary school of El Salvador, la ITCA (Instituto Tecnológico de Centro America). The cooks like to be appreciated and no one appreciates good food more than surfers. The cooks specialize in the freshest, healthiest ingredients for breakfasts that will fuel you up without weighing you down, and dinners that will replenish your system after many hours of surfing hard in the sun.
