In the heart of the historic city of Liege around 200 wooden stalls dotted around the Place St Lambert and the Place du Marché offer all sorts of great gift ideas.

Since it was first held 18 years ago, the Christmas Market in Liège has become one of the most significant in Belgium thanks to its size and atmosphere (an ever increasing percentage of them from other European countries). Every year, nearly a million people visit to soak up the magical ambiance created by 155 fairytale log huts and the joie de vivre of the local people.

All items imaginable are on offer here for that extra special gift including jewellery, traditional crafts and toys, as well as a wide range of Christmas decorations and edible goodies which can be eaten on the spot or taken home - forest mushrooms on toast, oysters, foie gras, chocolate, mulled wine and special Christmas beers.
